Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get stuck? Is it dangerous?

Hypnosis is by no means dangerous and you cannot get “stuck” and remain in a permanent state of hypnosis.

What happens during hypnosis?

During the first appointment, goals are discussed and a plan is set out on how to best achieve them. Hypnosis is then thoroughly explained to eliminate any fears or misconceptions.

The treatment itself consists of inducing a hypnotic state by making various suggestions to relax both body and mind.

You will stay awake and be able to hear my voice while remaining aware of your surroundings. I will make the suggestions we discussed and agreed to.

Once this is done, I will take you out of hypnosis, and you will feel rested and full of energy, just as you do after getting a good night’s sleep. And you will feel great!

What happens after the session?

After bringing you out of hypnosis, we discuss what you experienced, your thoughts and impressions, as well as any necessary follow-up or additional techniques which may assist you.

How long will it take to achieve my goal?

This depends on the severity of the problem and your suggestibility. It can vary from one to six sessions. This will be evaluated during the first consultation.

My husband/wife wants me to stop smoking

Hypnosis will not help you achieve things you do not really want to! You will be successful with hypnosis if you truly desire to work on a problem.
